• ASEARC Project Team Meeting   (Added 7 April 2010)
  
  A meeting of the ASEARC team will be conducted 20 April 2010.  Agenda items to come.

• Camtasia (Added 6 April 2010)
  
  Camtasia has been purchased for the use of teachers presenting illustrations and examples.  It is similar in concept to MS Powerpoint but uses a video clip with audio to present information.
  
  These presentations will typically be made available through the eLearning site

• CSSM Research Fellows Meeting   (Added 10 March 2010)
  
  All ASEARC members are invited to the CSSM Research Fellows Meeting in Goulburn.  The aim of the meeting is to provide ongoing opportunities for researchers actively working in areas of interest to the Centre to present both work in progress and recent research results.  
  
  The meetings are also an excellent opportunity for you to network with fellow Researchers/Statisticians.

• Director of the Statistical Consulting Service to visit UoN   (Added 10 March 2010)
  
  Marijka Batterham, Director of the Statistical Consulting Service, will visit the University of Newcastle in Spring 2010 to discuss development of counsultancy skills.  The expectation is to develop material for delivery in seminars at the University of Wollongong.

• Short course in Survey Methodology   (Added 10 March 2010)
  
  David Steel, Director of The Centre for Statistical and Survey Methodology, will visit University of Newcastle in second semester (July suggested) to give a short course in Survey Methodology.
