These research institutes and centres also serve as the focal point for commercialisation activities and research collaborations with industry and national and international institutions.

The Faculty also plays an important role in the Australian Government Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) program. It is a major partner in the Smart Services CRC, the Smart Internet Technology CRC and the Desert Knowledge CRC, and a contributor to the CRC for Railway Engineering.

Our research is continually improving in terms of quality and quantity of publications, patents, research grants and awards.
