Experimental Services
Introduction
Modern education in Electrical, Computer, and Telecommunications Engineering requires an exposure to the use of the web and Internet technologies as one of the fundamental methods of interaction to the underlying systems (data acquisition, control, etc.). The links on this page have been provided by staff members and students as examples of experimental and prototype web services which have been developed through educational and/or research activities of the school.
Warning
Links on this page will direct you to experimental and/or prototype services which often DO NOT comply with University of Wollongong guidelines for public communication, and the services themselves may be unstable or unreliable. These services are provided primarily for educational and entertainment value and do not represent official communications of the University.
Services
- Robotoy
- Provides an interactive demonstration of the use of the web to remotely control a robotic device.
- University of Wollongong Weather Station
- Provides a web view of local weather conditions via data acquisition software running at SECTE. This interface is currently unreliable and we are looking for a student project coordinator to update the software. Contact Peter Vial if you are interested.
