Support the Challenge!
As you may know, in recent years there has been a significant reduction in the number of secondary and tertiary students choosing to study the enabling sciences. As a result, Australia is suffering a critical shortage of professional scientists and engineers. This is a major issue for our future prosperity as a nation. In response to this declining interest in science and engineering, the Challenge was initiated in 2000 by the University of Newcastle . The Challenge has grown at an amazing rate and now it is a nation-wide program involving more than 10,000 students.
The Illawarra and South East Regional Challenge is over two days and will involve a maximum of 16 schools that will participate in eight activities each day. Participation in the Challenge is free of charge to the Schools, however, they do have to arrange their own transportation. This cost free participation is only made available by the generous donations from industry sponsors...
There are a number of sponsorship packages available including:
- Gold ($3,000 plus)
- Silver ($1,000 plus)
- Bronze ($500 plus)
- Donation (any other monetary on non-financial contribution)
