RURAL HIGH SCHOOL VISITS (RHSV)

Rural High School Visits are a nation-wide NRHSN initiative. Rural Health Club members visit rural and remote high schools to promote healthy eating and living, and health careers to school students. Please visit http://www.nrhsn.org.au/site/index.cfm?display=39700 for more information.

In 2010, SHARP participated in the following RHSVs:

  • Northern Territory 2010 Rural High School Visits Program (April)
  • Health Careers Expo for Illawarra High School Students at Wollongong Hospital (August)
  • Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Collarenebri (September)

In 2011, SHARP will be participating in the following RHSVs:

  • Shoalhaven (May 18)

Health Careers in the Bush - Northern Territory Rural High School Visits Program

This is an exciting opportunity for medical, nursing and allied health students from across the country to deliver health careers workshops to high school students through Central Australia and the Top End. The program runs over 2 separate weeks in May 2011.
