Conferences of National Significance (CoNS)
All SHARP members are eligible to apply to attend the NRHSN’s Conferences of National Significance. The NRHSN now has an online Conferences of National Significance Application Form. The NRHSN recommends that you submit your application at least 6 weeks prior to the conference start date.

CoNS Calendar:
There are many conferences coming up that you can apply for CoNS funding for. CoNS funding can help cover costs such as registration fee, travel costs and accommodation costs. Contact Kay Kent (Rm. 41.231; kkent@uow.edu.au; (02) 4221 4078) for assistance with applying for CoNS funding.
Nursing Students
- 10th National Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Indigenous Nurses (CATSIN), Melbourne, 16-18th September 2009.
- Royal College of Nurses Australia’s Annual Conference: Nursing- a sound investment for healthy returns, Melbourne, 2-4th September 2009.

Allied Health Students
- 4th NSW Allied Health Conference, Tamworth, 12th -13th November – There are three CoNS funded spots available for allied health students from NSW rural health clubs to attend this conference. Students chosen for the spots will participate in a panel discussion on barriers and motivating factors in rural allied health practice. To register your interest for a spot, and for more details, email alliedhealth@nrhsn.org.au AND kkent@uow.edu.au ASAP and remember to include your name, contact details and rural health club.
