Student Health Alliance for Rural Populations (SHARP)

Conferences

Conferences of National Significance (CoNS)

SHARP members who are studying a medicine, nursing or allied health degree are eligible to represent the Club at conferences with a rural theme. The NRHSN Conferences of National Significance program can provide some funding to help cover some of the costs associated with attending the conference (such as registration fees, travel and accommodation).

Visit the NRHSN CoNS page for details on how to apply. You will need to submit your application at least 6 weeks prior to the conference start date. Contact the SHARP Executive for assistance with applying for CoNS funding.

Are you a current or former RAMUS scholar?

Well if you are, you can apply to the National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA) for financial support to attend selected conferences. Find out more about the Conference Placement Program.

Are you a BMP/MRB student?

Senior medical students and junior doctors who hold a Bonded Medical Place (BMP) or Medical Rural Bonded (MRB) Scholarship can also apply for financial support to attend selected conferences. For more info, visit the Bonded Support Program website
