Why do people think and respond differently from one another, and have different emotional functioning? We measure behavioural differences using cognitive, psychophysiological and personality indices to better understand behaviours that have a direct effect on quality of life and social adjustment. Some of our projects include:
- How emotion and stress affects decision making in applied settings.
- How emotional intelligence protects people from stress.
- How identification with certain groups interacts with personality in predicting adolescents’ emotional and behavioural adjustment.
- How psychophysiological processes and personality interact in predicting individuals’ levels of prejudice, and responses to violent images.
