Editor's Introduction
Welcome to the journal!
The first edition of the journal was released in May 2003.
The concept for such a Journal: a free, on-line, international journal of forensic psychology originated at Australia's 1st Forensic Psychology Conference in February, 2001.
It has taken a couple of years to produce this first edition of the Journal as the development and staffing of the Journal has been, is and will be entirely voluntary. The Journal is not aligned with any publishing house or company or any other journal and as such the Editorial Committee members have had to 'learn by doing', learning previously foreign methods, software and procedures of electronic journal publication without professional guidance and assistance. All is set in place now for future editions of this Journal and I and the Committee welcome submissions for these future editions.
I wish to thank the members of the Editorial Board for their participation, patience and belief in the Journal. I believe that this Journal has indeed a very impressive and comprehensive coverage of the field of Forensic Psychology through the involvement of such members of the Editorial Board.
I also wish to thank the School of Psychology, University of Wollongong, in particular the Head of the School, Associate Professor Patrick Heaven for providing the website-space and support for the Journal.
I am forever indebted to the members of the Editorial Committee and wish to thank them for their support, drive and hard work and most importantly their unerring belief that the Journal could come to fruition.
Another one of those pipe-dreamer's dreams has come to a reality!
