Applying for 4^th year in Psychology 2012

CURRENT UNIVERSITY of WOLLONGONG STUDENTS

1. Current University of Wollongong BA, BSc or BPsych students wishing to apply for 4th Year please complete the “Internal 4th Year Psychology Application Form” found at the following link or in the brochure rack outside the School entrance, print and return to Jill Summers, Building 41, Room 147. Note that if you intend commencing mid year, please print this on the top of the application form [pdf 116kb]
   
   
2. Applicants for Honours go to the list of 2012 Honours Projects on the 4th year page http://www.uow.edu.au/health/psyc/4thyear/index.html, accessible by 4 November, to see what projects are available and think about your preferences and contact potential supervisors if necessary.
   
   
3. Applicants will be advised via email during the first 2 weeks of December of the outcome.
   
   
4. All successful applicants for Honours will also receive a weblink to an on-line system for nominating their honours thesis project preferences.  Please complete your preferences on the linked on-line system by 9 December.
   
   
5. All successful applicants for Honours - there will be a meeting for the 2012 Honours intake and staff, on a day to be advised (most likely during the week 12-16 December). Honours thesis project allocations will be finalised by 16 December; students and project supervisors are expected to commence discussions relevant to the research project as soon as possible after this date.
   
   
6. All successful applicants for Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and Psychology IV – there will be a list of 2012 Major Research Projects on the 4th year page http://www.uow.edu.au/health/psyc/4thyear/index.html, available by 16 December.  Please check this list to see what projects are available and think about your preferences and contact potential supervisors if necessary.  The list will include a weblink to an on-line system for nominating Major Research Project preferences.  Please complete your preferences on the on-line system by 31 December 2011.
   
   
7. Major research project group allocations will be finalised by 6 January 2012.  There will be a meeting for the 2012 Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and Psychology IV intake and staff on a day to be advised – most likely during Orientation Week of Autumn Session 2012.
