Laura Bruinsma: 2nd Year Bachelor of Nursing Student

Nursing was not a career I thought I would ever find myself in, but in early 2003 I stumbled into an aged care and disability services job in Melbourne. From then on I have had a passion for nursing and decided to pursue it as a career by attending university.

I chose the University of Wollongong because of the reputation it has as a 'good' university. As a student I have found the lecturers, tutors and especially the nursing laboratory staff fantastic, being very nurturing and supportive of the learning experience.

Another attraction to the university of Wollongong was the location and environment. Both on campus and surrounds provide an ideal study environment.
