About Us

The School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health at the University of Wollongong enjoys an excellent reputation both academically and clinically, within the nursing profession. This is manifested in several ways, most notably: 100% of our nursing graduates are in full employment within 3 months of graduation; University of Wollongong graduates consistently score highly in the NSW Nursing Employment Consortium, indeed topping it in 2001; and, positive feedback from our students regarding their experiences; recurring positive feedback from clinical staff and their managers regarding student performance on clinical practicum.

We are also seen as a place where excellent research takes place. Being within a Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences, we are in a position to support research students with a diverse range of interests and to offer opportunities for multidiscplinary research.
