Promote Personal effectiveness - (e.g., helping people to commit to and achieve their goals.)
 
2.
Promote Organizational effectiveness - help organizations to more effectively reach their goals; promote social and emotional intelligence amongst managers; improve workplace culture.
 
3.
Promote Well-Being/Health - this includes:

 

 

  • Social well-being - (relationship quality social support, etc.)
  • Physical indices: (e.g., cardiovascular health, weight control, blood pressure, immune response)
  • Emotional well-being (negative indices such as depression and stress and positive indices such as life satisfaction and joy).
  • The Levels of Emotional Awareness Scale for Children (LEAS-C)
4. Develop a research agenda that seeks to integrate the social, emotional, and physical aspects of health/well-being.


Research Streams:
1. Basic research - establishes the best ways of promoting personal effectiveness and well-being.
2. Intervention research - seeks to improve personal effectiveness and well-being. The Centre actively develops partnerships with private and public organisations in order to conduct these interventions.
