Centre for Research & Education in Drugs & Alcohol (CREDA)

CREDA is involved in research and training in drug, alcohol and HIV/AIDS related issues. CREDA is a division of the Illawarra Institute for Mental Health at the University of Wollongong. It is an alliance between the Illawarra Area Health Drug, Alcohol and HIV/AIDS Service and the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Wollongong. The aim of the collaboration is to support research, training, and service development in order to promote evidence-based practice. Project areas include: needle and syringe programs, overdose, substance use in pregnancy, diversion programs, triage, dual diagnosis, and the implementation of information systems. CREDA members include Illawarra Health staff, academics and students.
