School of Health Sciences

Overview and Welcome

Within the School of Health Science Casual Academic Staff make a significant contribution to the teaching and learning that occurs. Casual Academic Staff are valued members of the teaching staff and play a significant role in the delivery of our programs to students.

Casual academic staff are defined as staff who may be employed to lecture in subjects, give tutorial instruction or demonstrate in practical classes. They may also be employed for assignment marking, consultations with students at specific times and assisting in the preparation of teaching or resource material.  They are responsible to the Head of School and are assigned responsibilities by SHS’s Subject Coordinators or other academic staff.

This site has been developed as a toolkit to support casual academic staff working for SHS.  It is a relatively new site so your feedback on what information that could  be added to site is most welcomed.

So please explore this site and enjoy your teaching!

If you would like to provide feedback please send your email to Gai-Ellen Palmer.
