Research Interests:

  • Exercise physiology and limits to human physical performance and activity. Previous work includes the investigation of cardiac and skeletal muscle fatigue and the relationship to dietary and membrane fatty acid composition.
  • Physical activity interventions that improve physiological parameters and ultimately quality of life.
  • Classical anatomical dissection of skeletal muscle and its blood supply that underpins physiological function and fatigue.
