General Questions

From time to time you may have questions relating to your studies that you may not be able to answer alone. We have put together a list of common questions and information you may find helpful.

What are my rights and responsibilities as a student?

You may be wondering what you can expect from your time studying at UOW. The above link will connect you to the information you will need to stay informed.

Where can I find forms?

During your time at UOW you may be required to fill out forms relating to academic and administrative aspects of study, many of which are available via your SOLs account. Follow the above link to find more information about processing forms at UOW.

What do I need to know about using my UOW email address and internet quota?

Each student is given an internet quota for use on campus. The above link will outline what you need to know to stay connected, manage passwords and make the most of your quota.

What is SOLS?

SOLS is UOW Student Online Services that allows you to manage your enrolment, studies and eLearning sites. SOLS Mail is also one of the ways academic and support staff communicate with you. Follow the above link to find out how to connect and manage your SOLS account.

OHS Academic Programme Coordinator

New students must contact the OHS Academic Programme Coordinator immediately they receive their letter of offer and before they attempt to enrol in any subjects. The Academic Programme Coordinator's contact details are as follows:

Accreditation

The Master of Science OHS (MScOHS) and Graduate Certificate OHS are accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) in the United Kingdom. There is no equivalent accreditation scheme currently available in Australia.

The MSc Occupational Hygiene Practice degree is accredited by the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) and the British Occupational Hygiene Society.
