Academic Expectations
As a student within the OHS & OHP programme there are a number of expectations required of you. Some basic expectations are that students are prepared, well in advance, for their intensive learning sessions and participate actively within the class sessions. It is expected that students will regularly visit the eLearning site for each subject in advance of the intense teaching week complete any pre-work. In some subjects failure to do this will result in you being awarded a “Technical Failure”.
You will be expected to seek help from your lecturers when you encounter a problem. Manage your time well and develop your skills to become self directed in your studies. If you apply yourself to these lessons you will enhance your ability to think, solve problems, connect and integrate knowledge and experience, ensuring you make the most out of your time as a student at UOW.
This portion of this guide will outline expectations for graduate qualities, academic conduct and information on assessment requirements. UOW policies will also be outlined and information on some of the systems you will use while studying will be discussed.
