English Language Requirements
All international students are required to provide evidence of satisfying the University's English language requirements. For the MSc Hygiene Practice a letter of support from employer indicating English language ability is also acceptable.
Requirements from IELTS, TOEFL and WCA English courses
IELTS tests are conducted in most countries. You should arrange to forward to UOW an original copy of your IELTS Test Report form. Students undertaking the TOEFL test should arrange for Princeton to forward their official Score Report to UOW, using the institution code 9799. The English test must have been taken within two years of commencement of study at UOW. The tables below show the English language requirements for those completing IELTS, TOEFL, or a UOW College (UOWC) English language course.
Standard English Language Requirements
| IELTS (Academic) | Overall score of 6.0 plus the following band scores: 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking |
| TOEFL | 575 (Paper) or 231 (Computer) with a 4.5 TWE/Essay Rating; or 88 (Internet-based) with not less than; - 20 in Writing - 20 in Reading - 17 in Listening and - 18 in Speaking |
| UOWC Test (For UOWC English language students only) |
English for Tertiary Studies - Credit |

Accreditation
The Master of Science OHS (MScOHS) and Graduate Certificate OHS are accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) in the United Kingdom. There is no equivalent accreditation scheme currently available in Australia.
The MSc Occupational Hygiene Practice degree is accredited by the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) and the British Occupational Hygiene Society.
