Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology

The Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology focuses on the utilisation of exercise as a means of improving health and fitness, and rehabilitating injured tissues and/or systems.  It available as a one-year, full time course.

Graduates of the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology may gain full membership of the Australian Association of Exercise and Sport Science (AAESS) after completing a period of supervised work experience, and may apply for accredited membership as an Exercise Physiologist.

Entry into the course requires the successful completion of a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science) (or equivalent) of at least 3 years duration from a recognised tertiary institution.  It is only possible to admit a limited number of students each year. If the number of applicants exceeds the quota, admission will be based on academic grades across the second and third year subjects in the undergraduate degree.  International students are required to have achieved an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with a level of at least 6.0 in all bands, reading and writing, speaking and listening.

Note that this degree has a compulsory clinical placement. In order to complete this placement, students must comply with the legal requirements of the NSW Health Department. This requires all staff and students undertaking clinical placements to receive a criminal record clearance and vaccination record status check before employment or placement in any capacity in the NSW health system.

A Supplementary Information Form must accompany applications for entry to this course.
