Preliminary results and future directions Dr Gerard Stoyles, Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer School Of Psychology. University of Wollongong 13th June, ITAMS Building 233.115 What happens when children begin to listen to each other – not just to their words, but also to their feelings and their actions? My colleagues and I are investigating the effect of engendering listening among children and adolescents, using the resource of the Little Box of Big Questions (Gersch & Lipscombe, 2012). We are also piloting a study during which senior students will mentor small groups of younger students within a high school setting. Senior students will initially be trained in the skills of communication and engagement of others.
