Dr Tom Carroll, Director Carroll Communications, Social Marketing and Research Consultants
Dr Tom Carroll is a social marketing and research consultant with 25 years of experience on state-wide and national social marketing campaigns in Australia, and over the last decade, in the Asia-Pacific region. This experience has spanned a broad range of public health areas, including alcohol, tobacco, pharmaceutical and illicit drugs, HIV/AIDS, mental health, breast, cervical, bowel and skin cancer, type 2 diabetes, childhood immunisation, nutrition and physical activity, working with population segments across the life course. He has also consulted in the area of social marketing for environmental sustainability.
He provides consultancy services as a senior adviser on social marketing and research to the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing and to other government and non-government organisations. He has also undertaken social marketing consultancies and training in China, Cambodia, Vietnam and Hong Kong and in 2007 was commissioned by New Zealand’s Health Sponsorship Council to convene a social marketing Quality Improvement Process.
