About Acceptance & Commitment Therapy Research Group

Our primary value is to reduce human suffering and promote strong, supportive interpersonal relationships. We do this by:

  • Designing and Evaluating interventions to reduce suffering, promote vitality, and promote social effectiveness (in a variety of contexts, including organizations, adolescents, and cancer patients).
  • Designing and evaluating assessment tools to guide intervention research
  • Conducting basic research which seeks to identify key beneficial ingredients in ACT and other therapies
