Overview

This course aims to provide graduates with a coherent program of studies which will enable them to function as information systems professionals within a business organisation. The curriculum provides a balanced approach to the technical knowledge and skills, as well as an emphasis on human aspects of the information systems field.

Advanced Standing

The course will include articulation into the Master of Information Systems (MIS), the MIS(Advanced), the Master of Information and Technology Management (MITM), the Master of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) and the Master of Information and Communication Technology(Advanced) (MICT(Advanced))

Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge

A degree equivalent to a three-year Australian Bachelor degree in an area other than ICT i.e. not a degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering

OR

A Graduate Certificate in Information Systems, from the University of Wollongong, with an average mark of 60%.

OR

Applicants with other professional or academic qualifications not related to ICT, plus a minimum of three years full-time work experience (or part-time equivalent) in the ICT industry, may be considered by the Faculty.
