Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Technology Engineering will provide a pathway into the Coursework Masters Program for students who have an undergraduate background that is not specifically in computer, electrical or telecommunications engineering.

Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge

A degree equivalent to a three or four year Australian Bachelor degree in communications, engineering (other than electrical and related disciplines), information technology or science.

Course Requirements

The Graduate Certificate in Technology Engineering requires the satisfactory completion of four subjects (24 credit points) selected and approved by the Head of School, based on the student's undergraduate background and relevant work experience.

Students will have the opportunity to gain general skills in areas including:

    • Database Systems;

    • Digital Hardware;

    • Power Engineering;

    • Communications; and

    • Internet Engineering.

Other Information

Students who satisfactorily complete the Graduate Certificate in Technology Engineering are eligible to apply for entry to the Master of Technology Engineering.
