Overview

The Master of English Literatures provides an opportunity for students to extend and deepen their knowledge of literature studies and skills in textual analysis. Breadth is provided in geographical coverage, with classes in American, Australian and British writing plus texts from across the English-speaking world. Depth comes through consideration of theoretical issues such as constructions of canons and literary histories, gender and indigeneity, and through study of specific genres subject areas and periods.

Entry Requirements

Entry to the degree is normally from a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in literary studies, but students with an equivalent qualification will also be considered.
