Overview
This degree is aimed primarily at graduates working in the ICT industry who will benefit from an in-depth study of the organisational, economic, regulatory and socio-technical issues that arise in the implementation and application of IT, and of how to effectively manage these issues. Candidates may choose to complete a single major in a sub-discipline such as applied e-business,IT Strategic Planning, Network Management, e-Learning or e-Health.
Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge
A degree equivalent to a three-year Australian Bachelor degree, with a 60% average, in an area related to ICT (eg Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science) or
A Graduate Diploma in IS or IT from the University of Wollongong with an average mark of 60%.
Advanced Standing
The Graduate Certificate in Information and Communication Technology at UOW articulates into the MICT and the MICT(Adv).
Also, the current MICT degree at UOW articulates into the MICT(Adv).
Course Requirements
The degree requires satisfactory completion of 900 level subjects to the value of at least 48 credit points, including:

b) At least two (2) subjects (12cp) selected from the ISIT Graduate Subjects List (see below);
c) i) A maximum of two (2) subjects (12 cp) at 900-level may be taken from the following subject prefixes CSCI, MATH, STAT, ECTE or TBS. (Note that quotas may apply to TBS subjects offered at the Sydney Business School.)
ii) Any other 900-level subjects must be approved by the Head of School prior to commencing the subject.
2. To be awarded with a major (except e-Learning), a candidate shall satisfactorily complete four (4) subjects (24cp) as set out in the relevant program below, while still complying with requirement 1(b) and 1(c) above.
3. To be awarded with a major in e-Learning, a candidate shall satisfactorily complete four (4) subjects (24cp) as set out in the relevant program below, with the requirements 1(b) and (c) waived.
4. This degree may be completed without attempting a major area of study.
