Overview
The Master of Information Systems Advanced degree specialising in Information Systems provides graduates with the opportunity to study advanced topics in information systems and to undertake a research project in one of the areas of research interest in the Information Systems Discipline. The program aims to both deepen and broaden the knowledge and skills of students in systems development methodologies, systems management, electronic commerce and a selected area of Information Systems research.
Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge
A degree equivalent to a three-year Australian Bachelor degree, with a 60% average, in an area related to Information and Communication Technology (eg Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science) or
A Graduate Diploma in Information Systems or Information Technology from the University of Wollongong with an average mark of 60%
Advanced Standing
The Graduate Certificate in Information and Communications Technology from UOW articulates into the Master of Information Systems Advanced
The Master of Information Systems articulates to the Master of Information Systems Advanced
Early Exit Points
Students may choose to exit early with a Master of Information Systems if they fulfil the requirements of that degree.
Course Requirements
The degree requires the satisfactory completion of 900 level subjects to the value of at least 72 credit points. Consisting of:
a) Five core subjects (36 credit points) and
b) 6 subjects (36 credit points) selected from the MInfoSysAdv Graduate Subject List.
