Overview
This multidisciplinary program is designed for health and education professionals who work in the developmental disability sector. It aims to provide an appropriate theoretical and conceptual framework for practice and access to contemporary information relating to developmental disability.
The course consists of specialist developmental disability subjects and electives. Emphasis is on applying theoretical, research-based knowledge to practice in the developmental disability field.
Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge
Successful completion of the University of Wollongong's Graduate Diploma in Science (Developmental Disability).
International students are required to have achieved an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with a level of at least 6.0 in all bands, reading and writing, speaking and listening.
Course Requirements
Students enrolling in the Master of Science (Developmental Disability) already will have completed the 48 credit point Graduate Diploma in Science (Developmental Disability). The candidate is required to undertake a further 24 credit points of subjects to successfully complete the Master of Science (Developmental Disability).
Students undertake a research project on an aspect of developmental disability that consolidates earlier studies in developmental disability and research methodology.
