The Master of Public Health provides students with knowledge and understanding of efforts made by society to protect, promote and restore people's health. Health is defined as a state of well-being, not just the absence of disease. The goals of public health include the promotion and improvement of health, as well as the prevention of disease, premature death, and disease-produced discomfort and disability in the population.
A Bachelor degree of at least three years duration from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent. People with other acceptable qualifications and work experience may be admitted on completion of the Graduate Certificate in Public Health.
