Master of Arts (English Studies)
Overview
The Master of Arts (English Studies) provides an opportunity
for students to extend and deepen their knowledge of literature
studies and skills in textual analysis, possibly as part of
professional advancement or to pursue an interest in the subject.
The course consists of six subjects in areas of study which
reflect the research strengths of the English Studies program.
Subject offerings will be varied from year to
year. In 2004, subjects range from modern British and European
literatures (Modernism and its Others) through American to
postcolonial literatures (Turning Points) and twentieth century
Australian literature (The Dominant Sound).
Entry Requirements
Entry to the degree is normally from the Bachelor of Arts
degree, but students with an equivalent qualification will
also be considered.
