Nutrition
The Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) is a 3 year full time degree
program requiring 144 credit points of approved subjects.
The degree provides a general education in the study of human nutrition
with core areas of study including biochemistry, physiology, nutritional
metabolism and community and public health nutrition. The program
may be seen as the first 2 years of the professional 4-year Bachelor
of Nutrition and Dietetics degree. The BSc (Nutrition) degree is
designed to meet the prerequisite requirements for admission to
the MSc (Nutrition and Dietetics) and recognition by the DAA as
a professional Dietitian/Nutritionist.
Students within the BSc(Nutrition) who have achieved a credit average
in the first 2 and a half years of this degree will be permitted
to apply to transfer into the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics
at this time.
