Media Technology Studies
To navigate in an information-rich environment, the key in the
future will be the ability to continually learn to use, critically
analyse, reflect on and transform the information systems in place.
A crucial part of this is understanding the nature, dynamics and
management of media technologies. Challenging the assumption that
technologies are neutral and introduced solely on the basis of efficiency
or consumer demand, the subjects in this stream explore the ways
media technologies are chosen, promoted and contested by competing
interest groups.
The major in Media Technology Studies is made up of the 56 credit
