Bachelor of Education (Primary Education) with Honours - 870

Students admitted to the Honours program must enrol in EDUT403 - Research Methods in Education in Autumn Session plus a 24 credit point theses, EDUT493 - Thesis (annual) plus 3 subjects chosen from 400-level subjects offered in the Bachelor of Education course structure.

The grade of Honours awarded will be determined by the calculation of a weighted average of merit points acheived at the first attempt in the 400-level subjects using only the formula:

weighted average mark = formula

(for further detail refer to the Course Rules).

The Class of Honours will be based upon the weighted average mark achieved according to the following scale:

CLASS I: 85 -100% of merit points
CLASS II Division 1: 75 - 84% of merit points
CLASS II Division 2: 65 - 74% of merit points

Students who enter the Honours program and fail to achieve the appropriate level of merit points may be eligible for a Bachelor of Education Pass degree.
