Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Commerce

To qualify for the award of the double degree of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce a candidate shall accrue an aggregate of at least 216 credit points by satisfactory completion of subjects approved for inclusion in the Bachelor of Arts (702) course structures, the Bachelor of Commerce course structures and the General Schedule.

The 216 credit points shall include:

  1. the subjects prescribed for one of the specialisations or combined specialisations for the Bachelor of Commerce degree;
  2. at least 72 credit points, including a major study, for subjects listed in the Arts course structures, and including at least 36 credit points for subjects offered by member Units of the Faculty of Arts;
  3. not more than 96 credit points for 100-level subjects.

The Arts major study and the Commerce major are to be chosen from two different disciplines.

The requirements for all Commerce specialisations are listed under the Bachelor of Commerce within the Faculty of Commerce.

An Honours degree of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Commerce requires additional study (one year full-time, or two years part-time) and may be undertaken by students who meet the requirements for enrolment in Honours.

Students undertaking a major study in Modern Languages are required to discuss their academic program with the Co-ordinator of the relevant language. Students in the Japanese major study undertake some Summer Session study.
