BACHELOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

This three-year full-time (or part-time equivalent) degree is designed for offshore students. Entry into Year 2 or 3 (on-shore Wollongong Campus), is conditional on successful completion of a recognised off-shore program, or at least 48 credit points of appropriate advanced standing being approved from another institution.

The degree has two major studies: Information Systems and Computing.

Students may complete either one or two years on campus at Wollongong, depending on the program completed off-shore.

Course requirements
To qualify for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Information Technology, candidates must satisfactorily complete at least 144 credit points as set out in the Bachelor of Information Technology Schedule.

The 144 credit points must include:

  1. the subjects CSCI101, CSCI102, CSCI111,CSCI112, and MATH122;
  2. at least 36 credit points of 300 level subject listed in the Bachelor of Information Technology Schedule of which 24 credit points must be at the pass grade or better;
  3. at lest 126 credit points from Bachelor of Information Technology Schedule;
  4. no more than 24 credit points (ie1/6) of subjects to be at PC grade; and
  5. no more than 60 credit points at 100-level.
