The Graduate Diploma in Law is intended for those who wish
to study law at postgraduate level without embarking on a
law degree. It is also designed for those students interested
in pursuing entry into the graduate law program. Students
who have been unsuccessful in gaining admission to the graduate
law program on the basis of their first degree results, may,
on successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, apply again
for entry into the graduate law program. The Faculty guarantees
entry into the graduate law program if a credit grade point
average of 65 is achieved in the Graduate Diploma.
Subject to pre-requisites, students may choose a program
to suit their needs from LLB subjects offered by the Faculty.
A candidate must complete subjects to a value of at least
50 credit points including LAW810,
LAW811
and LAW8395.
