Mathematics and Applied Statistics
To satisfy the requirements for a major study in Mathematics,
a student shall satisfactorily complete (at a grade of Pass
or better) any MATH or STAT subjects listed below, to a total
of at least 48 credit points; of which at least 18 credit
points must be at 200 level and at least 24 credit points
must be at 300 level.
To satisfy the requirements for a major study in Applied Statistics,
a student shall satisfactorily complete (at a grade of Pass or better)
any MATH or STAT subjects listed below, to a total of at least 48 credit
points; of which at least 18 credit points must be at 200 level and must
include STAT231 and STAT232; and at least 24 credit points must be for
300 level STAT subjects.
Students are welcome, and encouraged, to consult an academic adviser
from the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics about their choice
of subjects.
For full details about pre-requisites etc, please refer to the Subject
Database, by clicking on the subjects listed below.
All subjects may not be offered every year.
