Legal Studies
(Faculty of Law)
Students wishing to major in legal studies in the Bachelor of Arts degree
must complete 54 points of Legal Studies subjects at Pass Grade or better.
LAW100 (previously LAW160) Law in Society is a compulsory subject in the
BA major study. At least 24 credit points of the specialisation or major
study must be taken at the 300-level.
Class Hours
The maximum number of class hours will not exceed an average of four per
week per subject.
The subject program will specify the actual class hours required for each
subject.
Seminars normally commence in the first week of session. Students are
asked to indicate their preferred seminar/tutorial times prior to the
commencement of session.
Important: There may be some restrictions on class sizes in Legal
Studies subjects. Accordingly, students are strongly advised to finalise
their enrolment in Legal Studies subjects for BOTH Autumn and Spring sessions
as early as possible, preferably before the commencement of the academic
year. In certain instances, adding Legal Studies subjects after the enrolment
or re-enrolment dates may not be possible.
