About Our Staff
The Graduate School of Medicine team includes University of Wollongong academic and professional staff along with community representatives and consultants.
Community-based Teaching and Learning
The GSM has appointed large numbers of regional and rural medical practitioners to a variety of part-time roles including lecturing and tutoring, skills training, providing clinical placements and mentoring students. They will complement the roles of the School’s professors and other academic staff.
Much of the clinical training will be done where most patients are managed – in general practices throughout the community, specialist surgeries, community-based specialist clinics such as Indigenous medical centres and similar facilities, as well as in large and small hospitals, both public and private.
