Internships 2011 & Beyond

We have been advised the following from the NSW Institute of Medical Education and Training (IMET), for Internships in NSW in 2011 and beyond.

Below is the relevant information for graduates of the University of Wollongong. Additional details and flow charts can be found at the NSW IMET website: http://www.imet.health.nsw.gov.au

• All Australian Citizens and Permanent Resident medical graduates from a NSW University will be guaranteed an internship in NSW. Meaning all UOW graduates who are Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be guaranteed an Internship.
• All non permanent Residents will be eligible for a NSW internship based on merit and availability of Internships. The total number of internships will be determined by work force need.
