Criteria for Prize The recipient of the prize will be the student with the highest academic performance in the combined final mark of end of MEDI601 examinations. This includes the final written and multi station examinations.

In the event of more than one student having identical marks, the recipient will be determined by the highest mark in the combined written papers for MEDI601.

In the event of a tie of both the combined final exam mark and combined written papers mark, the prize will be shared with each recipient being awarded the full value of the prize.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must receive a grade of ‘Excellent’ for the subject MEDI601.

Eligibility Requirements The student must have successfully completed MEDI601 end of year and end of Phase examinations on the first attempt.
Criteria for Prize The recipient of the prize will be the student with the highest percentage academic improvement. This will be calculated using the final marks for the end of Year 1 examinations compared to the final marks of the end of MEDI601 examinations. End of Year 1 examinations are held in December and end of MEDI601 examinations are held in June of the following year.

In the event of more than one student having identical percentage increases, the recipient will be determined by the highest mark in the end of MEDI601 final examinations.

In the event of a tie based on the end of MEDI601 final examination mark, the prize will be shared with each recipient being awarded the full value of the prize.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must receive a grade of satisfactory or above for the subject MEDI601 at both the end of year and end of Phase examinations.

Eligibility Requirements Students must have received at least a satisfactory grade in MEDI601 and MEDI602.
Criteria for Prize The recipient of the prize will be the student with the highest academic performance in the Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) assessment in the subject MEDI602. The OSCE is a clinical examination and is one of the assessment tasks for MEDI602.

In the event of more than one student having identical OSCE marks, the recipient will be determined by the highest mark in the combined written papers for MEDI602.

In the event of a tie of both the OSCE and combined written papers, the prize will be shared with each recipient being awarded the full value of the prize.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must have received an “excellent” mark for the Objective Structure Clinical Exam.

In the event of more than one student having identical marks, the recipient will be determined by the highest total mark in the OSCE for MEDI602.

In the event that 2 or more students continue to have identical marks, the prize will be shared and 2 book vouchers of $125 will be awarded.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must have received a Satisfactory grade on the first attempt of MEDI601 and MEDI602.

In the event of more than one student having identical marks, the recipient will be determined by the highest overall mark for the MEDI603 OSCE.

In the event that 2 or more students continue to have identical marks, the prize will be shared and 2 book vouchers of $125 will be awarded.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must have received a Satisfactory grade on the first attempt of MEDI601, MEDI602 and MEDI603.

Criteria for Prize The recipient of the prize will be the student with the highest academic performance in a Phase 3 Project in pain medicine.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must have received a Satisfactory grade on the first attempt of MEDI601, MEDI602 and MEDI603.

The recipient must receive the grade of Excellent for the Phase 3 Project.

Eligibility Requirements The student must have completed MEDI601, MEDI602, MEDI603 and MEDI604 on first attempt.
Criteria for Prize The recipient of the prize will be the student with the highest academic performance in PPD reflections in MEDI601, MEDI602, MEDI603 and MEDI604 as determined by the number of Excellent grades. PPD reflections are a series of assessment tasks across all phases of the MBBS, with learning outcomes encouraging the ethical and professional practice of community medicine.

In the event of more than one student having identical number of Excellent grades, the recipient will be determined by the highest academic achievement in the MEDI604 PPD Reflection paper.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must have received a Satisfactory grade or above grade on the first attempt for all summative PPD reflections during MEDI601, MEDI602, MEDI603 and MEDI604.

The recipient must achieve at least 75% grades of Excellent for the PPD reflections over the 4 year MBBS.

MDA Outstanding Achievement Poster and Poster Presentation - Indigenous Health

Eligibility Requirements Student must have satisfactorily completed MEDI601, MEDI602 and MEDI603. Student must satisfactorily pass MEDI604 on the first attempt.
Criteria for Prize The recipient of the prize will be the student with the highest academic performance for the Poster and Poster Presentation which has a focus on Indigenous Health, an assessment item in MEDI604. Indigenous health will include Indigenous communities from throughout the world.

In the event of more than one student having identical marks the recipient will be determined by the highest mark in the combined assessment items for MEDI604.

In the event of a tie of both the combined Poster and Poster Presentation and combined assessment items for MEDI604, the prize will be shared.

Whilst there is no internationally accepted definition, for the purpose of this award Indigenous Health will be defined as ethnic groups that are defined as indigenous according to one of the various definitions of being an original inhabitant of a Territory.
Minimum Performance Requirement The recipient must receive a grade of ‘Excellent’ for the MEDI604 Poster and Poster Presentation.

PRP Diagnostic Imaging Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement

Eligibility Requirements The recipient must be a graduating student and must have met the requirements for the award of the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

The recipient must demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the Graduate School of Medicine through evidence of an intention to complete an internship in regional, rural or remote Australia. This will be demonstrated by the student accepting and internship in regional, rural or remote Australia.
Criteria for Prize The prize will be awarded to the eligible graduating student who most consistently demonstrates academic excellence throughout the MBBS.

This will be determined by the number of “Excellent” grades for MEDI601, MEDI602, MEDI603 and MEDI604.
Minimum Performance Requirement Student must have attained an “excellent” final grade in at least 2 of the following subjects MEDI601, MEDI602, MEDI603 and MEDI604.
