International applications from USA/Canada for 2009 entry are now open!The UOW GSM is pleased to announce a change in application process for North American applicants. Applications for the MBBS program from Canada and the USA can now be made directly to UOW's agent in North America, Australearn. The UOW GSM has just completed its successful first year of teaching and has filled all places for 2008 with high calibre applicants from across the country and all over the world. There are currently 12 places available for international students in the MBBS program for 2009 entry. We are looking for applicants who have the academic ability and personal qualities to excel in our program and to perform as excellent medical practitioners. International applicants will require a completed Bachelors Degree in any field of study from a recognised institution, a GPA score of 5.0 or greater (on a 7 point scale) and an MCAT score of 24 and M and a completed GSM Admissions Portfolio. The portfolio is a document developed by the GSM which is scored against a developed protocol to highlight areas of achievement, leadership, teamwork and service ethic. Applicants from North America can apply now via Australearn - the early application round will close mid March 2008.
