Wollongong
The University of Wollongong's main campus occupies a site of 82.4 hectares, nestled between the escarpment of Mt Keira and the nearby Pacific Ocean. The environment is open, spacious and extensively landscaped, with native vegetation and water gardens being a feature. The University has a broad range of well equipped teaching facilities and is well provided for in terms of computer laboratories and general support services for students. The University also has wireless internet capability.
University of Wollongong library service is extensive and uses modern on-line technologies for accessing books, journals and databases. The Library was the first library in Australia to achieve a prestigious international best practice standard for the management and development of people to achieve organisational goals. The Investors in People (IIP) standard, made under the auspices of NCSI (NATA Certification Services International), was awarded.

Sydney
The Sydney Business School offers state-of-the-art facilities in a unique learning environment. The School is located in the heart of Sydney's central business district, overlooking Hyde Park. SBS has 2000 sq.m. of tailored learning and teaching accommodation, together with full administrative support and on-line links to the main campus, including all electronic catalogues and databases from the main library.
Full time graduate students have a range of residential options supported by the University's Accommodation Services Division. These vary from, in Wollongong, catered and self catering apartments through to, in Wollongong and Sydney, a range of private rental accommodation packages.
Space
In the East Wing we have four seminar rooms which are used for teaching MBA, MBA (Advanced), MIB, MSc ( Logistics) and Graduate Certificate in Commerce Courses. The rooms vary in size, with seminar room four holding up to 75 students. Academic staff also have office space located on this side of the building.
There is a resource room which is an area for students to use the IT facilities, access library books, daily newspapers (SMH and the Financial Times), articles and photocopy materials.
There is a student lounge area immediately to the right of reception where there are 6 quick access computer terminals for students as well as a dedicated phone line that links to UniAdvice and ARD at the main campus in Wollongong.
In the West Wing there are further teaching rooms, three seminar rooms, four smaller meeting rooms, boardroom and staff offices. These will be accessed mainly for Executive Education Programs that SBS run, however students will be able to book the meeting rooms for group work assignments if needed.
IT Facilities
In the Resource Room we have 24 computers, printer, photocopier, coin operated photocopy card machine, OHP and data projector.
All seminar rooms are fitted with OHP and data projectors.
Sydney Business School Library
Sydney Business School has a Library Resource Room and a full time Librarian to help you with your information needs.
The Library holds texts and recommended readings for all SBS subjects and a range of other books of interest to business students.
As the library is reference only, items are unable to be borrowed. However, to ensure that your information needs are met Sydney Business School students have a number of options.
- SBS Library should be your first stop when looking for information. If an item you are looking for is not held in our library, we can search UOW and other library catalogues to let you know where it can be located. The library also offers help with database searching and ILIP both individually and through organised classes.
- University of Wollongong Main Library holds many resources that are available online. E-readings, e-books and the electronic databases are an invaluable source of information.
- To supplement your information needs, Sydney Business School students are able to join the University Library Australia National Borrowing Scheme. This allows you to join another university library within the Sydney area, use their facilities and borrow from the collection. Please note that this is not available at University of Technology Sydney (UTS). The $50 fee for this is refunded to you by SBS.
ULA National Borrowing Scheme
Sydney Business School students may register with one university library within the Sydney metropolitan area and enjoy borrowing privileges. Excluding the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
There is a $50 fee for this, which is fully refundable by Sydney Business School. To register for this scheme, students must apply in person at the university library they have chosen. To receive your refund please complete a reimbursement form available from SBS Reception. You must also present the receipt given to you by the library you have joined.
Please note:
- You will need photo identification and proof of enrolment to give the institution you are registering with;
- You must comply with all library rules at your chosen library. Late fees for overdue books will apply. Remember you are a 'guest' in their library;
- There may be some restrictions concerning the number of books you can borrow and the collections you can access. This will vary between libraries.
This is an annual membership, valid for the current calendar year only. Regardless of when you register, borrowing privileges will expire on the 28th of February of the following year.

Information Literacies Information Program- ILIP
The online ILIP course introduces students to information technology and research skills.
All University of Wollongong students are required to complete ILIP in their first intake, to become familiar with how to access and use online library facilities. SBS Library conducts ILIP classes at the beginning of each session and is glad to offer individual assistance to students completing the program. http://www.uow.edu.au/student/attributes/ilip/

Dubai
UOW in Dubai is based at the Knowledge Village, approximately 30 kilometres from the centre of Dubai. UOWD occupies two buildings within Knowledge Village. Teaching and IT facilities are all less than 2 years old. There is a well equipped library available to students in addition to the links to the on-line resources of the UOW library. The Dubai campus also provides a range of student accommodation options for its full time students.
