2008 Program Delivery

Wollongong Campus

OVERVIEW

Programs delivered at the Wollongong campus follow the University's standard sessions: Autumn, Spring and Summer. Several programs offer evening classes and block delivery to accommodate working students.

For further details see the Wollongong campus session dates.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
(including Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Business Administration)

MBA subjects are delivered in a number of formats designed to provide flexibility and options for those who work whilst studying. Subject delivery is either:

  • A three hour class scheduled one evening each week; or
  • Intensive delivery including three full days on Fridays and Saturdays followed by three, two hour workshops scattered throughout the session. Intensive delivery subjects have assessment tasks which are research project based, receiving ongoing guidance from the lecturer. Students are expected to read some pre-course material before attending the weekend delivery to maximise their learning during class.

All other Wollongong degrees

Subjects are delivered on a weekly lecture plus tutorial basis. Students will learn the subject content during lectures, and tutorial classes will accommodate for individual student learning needs, with the opportunity to discuss concepts and clarify issues in smaller groups.

For further details see the Wollongong campus timetable.

Sydney Campus, Shoalhaven Campus and UOW Education Centres

OVERVIEW

The Sydney campus including GSB programs offered at the Shoalhaven Campus and the UOW Education Centres at Batemans Bay, Bega, Loftus and Moss Vale, are delivered on a modular basis, over four intakes each year. Intakes commence in February, April, July and September (Intake A, B, C and D). Students may commence programs in any of these intakes.

By offering four intakes in a year, we can offer the following benefits to students:

  • Flexible start dates throughout the year;
  • fast tracking of programs possible;
  • minimum interruption of studies when inevitable work or family commitments necessitate a brief interruption to study;
  • allows part time students to fit study around work schedules and complete one subject at a time;
  • subjects run for a 10 week period.

To accommodate full-time workers, some subjects offered at the Sydney campus are delivered via intensive sessions on Fridays and Saturdays.

For further details see the GSB intake dates.
