Deputy Chancellor

Council Member - Ms Sue Chapman

Ms Sue Chapman has served the University Council since January 1998 and is currently a council appointed member. In February 2006 she was elected Deputy Chancellor by the Council. Ms Chapman Chairs the Council Committee of Appeal (Student Matters and Student Discipline) and is a member

of the Council Nominations Committee.

Ms Chapman is currently First Assistant Secretary, Corporate Operations, Department of Human Services.

General Manager, Corporate Services Group, Attorney-General's Department (until July 2009)
CEO and Managing Director - NCS International (until early 2007)
Deputy Director - General, NSW Dept of Community Services (1997-1998);
Registrar and Deputy Principal, University of Sydney (1993-1997);
Director of Corporate Services, Illawarra Area Health Service (1988-1993);
Manager, HR Department, University of Wollongong (1987-1988);
Deputy Executive Officer, Wollongong Hospital (1986-1987); and
Manager, Personnel Services, Illawarra Area Health Service (1980-1986).

Ms Chapman's memberships include:

Ms Chapman holds a Diploma in Health Administration, a Bachelor of Arts (double major in French and Psychology) (UOW); and a Masters of Business Administration (UOW). She has completed the LASER Training program for Investors in People and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
