Academic Senate Elections
Academic Senate has three positions for which elections will be held at its 8 July 2009 meeting:
1. One Academic Senate member to the Academic Senate Standing Committee
2. One senior academic staff member to the University Education Committee
3. One Academic Senate member to the University Internationalisation Committee
Term of Office
The term of office for each of these positions is two years, commencing on 1 July 2009 and concluding on 30 June 2011.

Notices of Election for each of the above positions can be found at:

Nomination Period
Nominations for all three positions open at 9am on Wednesday, 24 June 2009 and close at 5pm on Wednesday, 1 July 2009.
Nomination Forms
Nomination forms for all three positions will be available from Wednesday, 24 June 2009 from:
- Nomination form for election of one Senate member to the Academic Senate Standing Committee
- Nomination form for election of one senior academic staff member to UEC
- Nomination form for election of one Senate member to UIC
Nomination forms are also available from the Policy and Governance Unit (located in the Academic Registrar’s Division, Ground Floor, Administration Building 36), or by calling 4221 5954.
Nominations must be made in writing using the relevant nomination form.
Lodging Nomination Forms
Signed nomination forms for all positions must be received by Nerida Margrie, Returning Officer in the Policy and Governance Unit (located in the Academic Registrar’s Division, Ground Floor, Administration Building 36) by no later than 5pm on Wednesday, 1 July 2009.
Voting
Should elections be required for any of these positions, then elections will be held for that or those positions at the Academic Senate meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 8 July 2009 commencing at 9:30am.
Should only one valid nomination be received for any of the positions, then the Returning Officer will declare the person nominated to be elected.
