Innovation

UOW is involved in many diverse research and development projects, and is a major partner in Wollongong’s Innovation Campus, a research, development and technology facility that will help secure the city’s future as a ‘centre for excellence’ in information technology and telecommunications.

We are a pioneer in intelligent polymer research with strategic links and alliances around the globe, and are leading the way in crime prevention with funding to establish a Global Centre of Excellence in Transnational Crime Prevention.

Our Graduate School of Medicine—opened in 2007—will help meet the critical shortage of doctors in regional and rural Australia.
