I chose UOW because it is ranked as one of the top universities in Australia. I have learned to be independent, how to research effectively and work well in a group, which are really important skills.

The lecturers are always supportive and suggesting additional ways to improve my knowledge.

Barbeques and competitions held during Orientation Week are a great way to get to know other people.

PASS (Peer Assisted Study Session) is really helpful, as is the English conversation group that helps first year international students improve their
English skills. My career ambition is to become an Automotive Engineer and UOW is the place I can achieve this. I would recommend coming here to
experience the great people and culture.
