Check-list for ALA Scholarship applicants

Have you completed all the steps needed to submit your ALA Scholarship application?

1. Gain an offer of admission to the university. 
   
   Postgraduate coursework applicants - Simply follow the instructions at How to Apply.   
   
   Postgraduate research applicants should find an academic unit and identify a research topic before applying for admission.  Follow the procedures here.
   
   Once a suitable academic unit has been found and the research topic has been established, prospective research students should apply for admission following the instructions at How to Apply.
   
   Both research and coursework applicants should include the ALA application cover sheet that is available from the AusAID website to identify your application for admission to University of Wollongong as a prospective ALA application when you send it to the university.  This can be downloaded in PDF format here (applications for admission from ALA applicants are prioritised in the university admissions process to assist in the meeting of the 30 June deadline set by AusAID.)
   
   
2. Complete English language testing (eg IELTS, TOEFL) to meet minimum requirements for both University of Wollongong admission and the ALA scholarship.  Information about English language requirements for UOW courses can be found here.
   
   
3. Clear any conditions on your offer of admission to UOW.  Applicants for ALA Scholarships must provide evidence of an unconditional offer of a place in an appropriate course at an eligible Australian education institution for full time studies. Offers that include conditions relating to meeting additional English language proficiency, supporting documentation or any other conditions will not be accepted by the ALA Scholarship program.
   
   
4. Submit ALA Scholarship application along with offer of admission and other documentation by the due date.  Click here for details on how to apply for an ALA Scholarship.
