The following credit exemption (credit transfer) is applicable for students completing a diploma course at the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra.
Required mark for credit exemption: Upper Second Division (Average 55%)
Mathematics Subjects (Average 55%)
Maximum Credit Exemption: 48 credit points (equivalent to 1 year of study)
Course: State Board Diploma (10 + 3)
State Board Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Technology
- Production Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- Civil Engineering-
- Civil/Rural Engineering
- Construction Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering will award 48 credit points block credit exemption into ALL Bachelor of Engineering disciplines with the exception of Mechatronics and Mining.
Students who achieve an overall result of <55% but achieve 55% or > in Mathematics will be forwarded to the Faculty for consideration.
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics)
Credit Exemption will be determined on a case by case basis. Most will be eligible for credit (especially Autumn Session starters). However, commencing in Spring Session may prove difficult for the full credit award, due to the course structure.
Bachelor of Engineering (Mining)
State Board Diploma in Mining and Surveying
Requests for credit exemption from the Diploma in Mining and Surveying into the Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) will be submitted to the Faculty for determination of credit exemption.
All applicants are required to meet the English language requirements for entry.
Students not meeting the English language requirement for direct entry to the Bachelor of Engineering are able to undertake English language training on campus at Wollongong University College.
